Ezlo AI features — how your data is used

Applies to the Ezlo AI app and the AI features of Ezlo's property platform. Last updated October 8, 2026. This section supplements Ezlo's Privacy Policy.

Nothing is sent to an AI service until you allow it. The Ezlo AI app asks first, and you can turn it off anytime in the app: Settings › Privacy › Ezlo AI data sharing. Your devices, cameras and alerts keep working without it.

What data is sent

How it's collected

From what you type or say in the app, and from your hubs and cameras through your Ezlo account, at the moment you use an AI feature (or, for doorbell descriptions, when the doorbell is pressed).

What it's used for

It is not sold, and it is not used for advertising.

Who receives it

Ezlo's servers receive it and pass it to third-party AI service providers that generate the answer on Ezlo's behalf.

These providers act as Ezlo's service providers under written terms that require them to protect the data at least as well as this policy does, to use it only to provide the service to Ezlo, and not to use it to train their models. They may keep requests for a limited time for safety and abuse monitoring, as those terms allow. Ezlo may change providers; this protection applies to whichever it uses.

What stays on your device

Speech recognition and simple commands (such as “turn off the kitchen light”) are handled on your iPhone or iPad and are not sent to AI services.

Retention

Your Ezlo AI conversations are kept with your account so you can see them, until you delete them or close your account. Doorbell pictures used for a notification are kept for about 15 minutes.
